Project 5 In Progress

I am experimenting with erasing some of the pre-existing brain lines to emphasize the text a little more so that I can keep the text I want. I am trying to find the right balance between too much subtlety and not enough. So far I feel as if I have found the balance I want. Its not so subtle that you can't read/find it, but it's also not so obvious it draws all of the attention.

Added the brain to the image as well as starting to put the text into the folds and creases of the brain. Used the liquify tool to play with the lettering, however I am still working on it. I am wondering if the words are too subtle and should be brought out a little more so that the viewer still has to look for it, but it isn't totally unreadable.

I am also thinking about the background in terms of color. I am not sure if I should keep it black and white or add color to it. I feel like the lines in the background add to the idea of confusion and not knowing how our brains work. Everything is all over the place, it's abstract, and there is no real path to follow..kind of like when a person is trying to find themselves or figure themselves out.

Added background strokes to fill the white space. The head will have a brain and I will use the folds in the brain to spell out "How do you work this thing?!"

The rest of the silhouette will be filled with nobs and dials which will have their own emotion assigned to them. At the moment I am debating creating them on the image with photoshop or drawing them out, cutting them, and pasting them on top of my printed image.
